¨Central America:
Politicly is intregrated by 7 independent nations: Belice, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama.
It's a mountain, volcanic and selvatic zone. With a tropical climate, raining more at the east regions in high areas like center of Guatemala which is mild climate with rain in summer.
All the region is compound by 6 spanish-speaking countries and Belice, english-speaking; with a total population of 41.081.300 hab. in 2006 and an extension of 523.674 km2.
Their economy is base in the primary sector, with a low developed industry.
Central America Islands are divided in two big groups:
Big Antillas: Cuba, La Española (divided in Haiti and Rep. Dominicana), Jamaica and Puerto Rico.
Small Antillas: Trinidad y Tobago (in front of Venezuela), Barbados, and islas de Barlovento y Sotavento."
